Share Spirit - FW08 Gas Mask Sheepskin Leather Jacket

Katsuyuki Hori, the founder of Share Spirit, created the brand in the early 2000s, blending alternative high-end fashion with street culture. Drawing inspiration from his extensive travels around the world, Hori absorbed diverse influences from European fashion, American streetwear, and Japanese subcultures, particularly Tokyo’s eclectic Harajuku scene. His experiences exposed him to a wide range of artistic traditions and design aesthetics, which he infused into his work, fusing avant-garde techniques, industrial and gothic elements, and traditional Japanese craftsmanship. The name "Share Spirit" reflects the brand’s ethos of individual expression and the global exchange of creative energy. This jacket known as the Gas Mask Leather Rider from Hori's FW08 collection showcases asymetrical pocketed zippers throughout, elongated zippers on the waist and sleeves for added styling versatility, and most iconicly the gask mask attachment via zipper along the collar; wrapping its militant/dystopian design. Through Share Spirit, Hori created a space for youth culture to express themselves with fashion that was both refined and unapologetically unique.
