L.G.B. (Le Grand Bleu) is a Japanese label founded in Tokyo in 1999 by Nobuhiko Satoh under Maniac Corporation. The brand became known for sharply fitted silhouettes, treated denim and leather, long layered pieces, hand-finished surfaces, fringe, and recurring cross and wolf motifs. Its clothes were designed to look worn and lived-in rather than pristine, with much of the character coming from washing, distressing, and manual finishing. L.G.B. developed a strong connection to Japanese rock through artists such as HYDE and Kiyoharu, while its pieces were also worn by international musicians including Steven Tyler, Lenny Kravitz, and Gwen Stefani. Its strongest period was the early-to-late 2000s, when L.G.B. became one of the defining names in Tokyo’s rock fashion scene.
